As many of you know...
Our Theme this year
was...
"A Novel Christmas"
So...every single vignette had books used
in some way,
shape
or form!

ENJOY!
Before I show you the store...I would like to introduce the Family!
This is Tim and Karen Kay Horton...our owners.
Their son, Caleb and his two sisters...Kate and Holly.
And...me! talking to Kate and her Aunt Karen.
Now that you know all of us...let me show you around their wonderful store.
For those of you who have never had the chance to visit...We are actually a Hardware Store, With an entire wing that we have transformed into our Secret Garden.
This is the Red Entry...leading you into Santa's home.
The is the French cottage and Natural Entry...I will be getting more photos soon...these just don't do justice.
The Aqua entry.
Now if you follow me...let's go to Madame Fifi's boudoir.
Her Vanity.
Her bed is under a handmade lace umbrella and we hung handpainted parasols all over the ceiling.
Mostly black and white with mercury glass and some Wendy Addison wonderments.
another view of her vanity.
This delightful "hat chandy" is Madame Yvette...but that's another story.
After we leave this little vignette...
we arrive at the French inspired ski chalet.
It's a little crowded so let me show you some photos we took the night before.
Would you like some free fudge samples?
Made right here in our sweet shoppe...It's absolutely divine!
The dining table we made from an old panel door. The snowflakes are cut from book pages.
This little gas stove and firewood stacks...set the tone for our cozy little room.
(antique french sabots...waiting to be filled with gifts!)
Sorry...The little stove has already sold!)
The Cocoa Buffet on a wonderful old refurbished sideboard.
A closeup of one of our chandeliers...books and popcorn balls!
the little settee made from a twin headboard!
If you follow my personal blog... dreyne's
this is this finishing detail I promised to share with you a few weeks ago!
It's always the smallest details at our little store that recieve the most comments...
I love these new white platters...they remind me of snowflakes!
More of our wonderful customers milling about the cottage.
All the antique chairs have these little wreaths with french wired ribbons and handcut book page snow flakes!
Well, as you must know, we are all a little tired...Don't forget...We will be open tomorrow
(Sunday, Nov. 8th) from 1- 5. Please stop by on your way home from church.
I will post more tomorrow! Thank you so much for stopping by!
